I have been cultivating a unique style of photojournalistic photography since the autumn of 2007. My interest in photography grew out of a desire to document moments in my life and the lives of others that are paramount in their utter simplicity and beauty.
I pursue the discovery of the inner nature of each person I work with. This is done primarily by engaging you in an environment in which you are most comfortable. For my portrait sessions I thrive in new surroundings and settings, and work to make each shoot as unique as you are.
Edna St. Vincent Millay once said, "Beauty is whatever gives you joy." This is a quote I try to live by each and every day, and also one which inspires me when I embark on a session. I believe that photography is not simply a mechanism for capture and depiction, but an avenue to joy and all that is good. With this in mind, I focus on you, the individual or group; I put all of my energy into getting to know you in the time we are together and helping you flourish during the session to produce beautiful images that you can go back to over and over again.
The prices for my photography are relatively low. Please do not let this mislead you about the quality of my work; something in my nature simply prevents me from charging a lot solely for the sake of profit. From portrait sessions to family shoots, engagements and weddings, I just want to work with you. All prices are negotiable in the context of what helps you the most.
